About the founder
This farmer wasn’t always urban
I grew up in the rich midwest soil, bottle-feeding lambs and digging in the garden with my grandparents and neighbors. After studying city planning and community development at the University of Illinois, I spent more than a decade working in and on restaurants, which led me back to the farm in pursuit of better tasting and higher quality ingredients. Now I focus on building networks between city and country, farmer and chef, human and land.
I BELIEVE
We can bring imagination and innovation to the local food system by engaging both farmers and chefs in an open conversation about the future of flavor.
I invite you to join me on this journey!
